Painter in watercolour of figure subjects and landscapes who studied at Heatherleys School of Art and won the Roy Prize about 1900.
Few details survive of his early life although he did travel to Norway where he sketched and painted. His best work was fine quality genre watercolours of figures in elaborate costumes, often in gardens or interiors, which were painted in the early 1900's.
Lewis Nottage lived in Hampstead and seemed to make little attempt either to Exhibit his work or sell it.
His paintings are not often seen on the market but the quality and subject matter would make them collectable.
