Keswick, Cumberland Size: 19 x 34cm Description: Watercolour, signed & Dated 1886, Inscribed Old Label on Reverse Price: £950 Landscape and Topographical Painter, Engraver. Born in Boston, Lincs. Came to live in London at an early age, and apprenticed to an Engraver. Then he began to paint, mainly in watercolour. Collaborated with T.F.Wainewright on numerous paintings, Pearson would paint the landscape and Wainewright the Sheep or Cattle. Pearson was one of the oldest members of the Langham Sketching Club. He Exhibited 145 works at the Royal Society of British Artists - Suffolk Street. 4 works at the Royal Academy also at the New Watercolour Society and Elsewhere. Two works by him can be seen in the V & A. |
