He studied at Bournville College of Art, Birmingham College of Art and the Royal Academy Schools.During his studies he won many prizes and Scholarships and many more once he embarked on his very distinguished career. He has exhibited widely in London and the Provinces, had a number of one-man shows at The Grafton Gallery. He has undertaken many commissions including one for the RWS in 1990 to paint the Royal Procession celebrating the Queen Mother's 90th Birthday.
