ADRIAN SORRELL RCA. (1932-2001)
Adrian Sorrell was born in January 1932 in Salford of Russian and English parents. He studied at Salford School of Art from 1949 to 1954 and at the Kunstfact School, Stockholm in 1957. Having worked as a designer and sculptor in Scandinavia for three years he travelled and studied in France and Italy until 1959. From 1960 - 1974 he was a Lecturer at the Bolton College of Art and Design, a post that he left in order to devote his energies to the production and development of his own work.
