A London-born Artist, best known for his rural landscapes in watercolour, but he also painted in oil as well as being an accomplished etcher. He began exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1880 and continued to show there and at other leading galleries until 1913. By this time he was a well Established artist who found a ready market for his work, continuing to sell until the final two years of his life. An example of his work is held at the Reading Art Gallery. Exhibited as follows:
Royal Academy 20, Royal Society of British Artists 113, Walker Gallery 13, Royal Institute 6, Royal Institute of Oil Painters 13, Birmingham 7, Manchester 8, and elsewhere.
